What we work on

We service central air conditioners and the parts that keep them running, including:

Why systems fail in Central Texas

Long stretches of 95°F-plus days mean an AC here can run for hours at a time from May through September. That load wears out capacitors and motors and exposes small refrigerant leaks. Cottonwood fluff, grass clippings and dust clog outdoor coils, and the humidity keeps condensate drains busy. A clogged drain is one of the most common reasons a system shuts itself off.

What to check before you call

Older systems and refrigerant

If your system uses R-22 (common in units installed before about 2010), new R-22 hasn't been produced in the U.S. since 2020, so recharging is expensive. In that case we'll talk through repair versus replacement so you can decide. See AC installation & replacement.

All of our work is guaranteed. Financing is available. Ask about financing options when you call.

Frequently asked questions

Is it worth repairing an old AC?

It depends on the age of the system, the refrigerant it uses, the cost of the repair and how well it has been keeping up. A single failed part on an otherwise healthy system is usually worth fixing. Repeated major repairs, or an R-22 system with a leak, often point toward replacement.

Why is my AC running but not cooling?

Common causes include a dirty filter or coil, low refrigerant from a leak, a failed capacitor or fan motor outside, or a frozen indoor coil. A technician needs to test the system to know which.

Do you repair commercial AC units too?

Yes. We work on commercial systems, including rooftop units. See commercial HVAC.
